This Privacy Policy describes how Altius Hospitals, Bangalore ("Altius", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and shares your information when you use altiushospitals.in (the "Website"), including when you buy or enquire about the Altius Care Pass, and tells you about your privacy rights.

By using the Website you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you enquire about or buy a Care Pass, or contact us through the Website, we may ask for:

• Your full name
• Your mobile number, which we verify with a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS
• Your date of birth and gender, which are needed to issue the Care Pass in your name
• Any details you choose to share with us over phone, WhatsApp or email

Payment for the Care Pass is collected by our payment partner (see section 5). We do not see or store your card, UPI or bank details.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Website we may automatically collect usage data such as your device's IP address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, the date, time and duration of your visit, and other diagnostic data. On a mobile device this may include the device type, operating system and unique device identifiers.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies (tags, pixels and scripts) to run the Website, remember your choices and understand how the Website is used. These may be session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which stay on your device until they expire or you delete them. Cookies we use include:

• Essential cookies — needed for the Website and the purchase flow to work, including protecting the site against automated abuse (we use Google reCAPTCHA for this).
• Functionality cookies — remember choices you make so you do not have to enter them again.
• Analytics and advertising cookies — help us measure visits and the effectiveness of our campaigns. These may be set by us or by third parties such as Google or Meta, and may include advertising identifiers (for example a click ID) carried in the link you used to reach the Website.

You can set your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when a cookie is being sent. Some parts of the Website may not work properly without essential cookies.

3. How we use your information

• To issue, activate and manage your Care Pass and to identify you when you visit the hospital.
• To verify your mobile number and prevent fraudulent purchases.
• To process your payment and send you a payment link, receipt and confirmation.
• To contact you by phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email about your purchase, your enquiry, or hospital services relevant to you, including follow-ups if a purchase was not completed.
• To send you offers and information about Altius services, unless you tell us you do not want them.
• To run, secure, measure and improve the Website and our marketing.
• To comply with law, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

4. Health information

The Website itself does not ask for or store medical records. Any health information you share with our doctors or staff when you use your Care Pass at the hospital is held in the hospital's medical records systems under the hospital's clinical confidentiality obligations and applicable Indian law, and is not governed by this Website policy.

5. Who we share your information with

• Even Healthcare, our technology and membership partner, which operates the Care Pass purchase system on our behalf, verifies your OTP, generates your payment link and records your membership.
• Razorpay, our payment gateway, which collects your payment. Razorpay's handling of your payment details is governed by its own privacy policy.
• Service providers that help us run the Website, send SMS and WhatsApp messages, host data, or analyse usage, who may process your information only on our instructions.
• Advertising and analytics partners such as Google and Meta, to measure campaigns and show relevant ads, subject to your cookie settings.
• Affiliates and business partners, where needed to provide a service you asked for, and who must honour this policy.
• Authorities, where required by law, court order or a valid request from a public authority, or to protect our rights, the safety of our patients and staff, or the public.
• Business transfers, if Altius is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Where your information is processed

Your information is processed in India. Some of our service providers may store or process data on servers outside India; where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to a standard consistent with this policy.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your personal information for as long as needed to provide your Care Pass and for the period required by law (including tax and healthcare record-keeping rules). Usage data is generally kept for a shorter period, unless needed for security or legal reasons.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on the Website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing messages, by writing to care@altiushospital.com. We may need to keep certain information where we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so, and we may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request. Where the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies, you also have the rights it provides, including the right to nominate another person to exercise your rights and to raise a grievance with us.

10. Children

The Website is intended for adults. A Care Pass for a person under 18 must be bought by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children; if you believe a child has given us information without a parent's consent, please contact us and we will remove it.

11. Links to other websites

The Website links to other sites, such as Google Maps, WhatsApp and our payment gateway, which we do not control. Please review the privacy policy of every site you visit.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The new version will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date, and changes take effect when posted. Please review it periodically.
